I was looking at my own goals this morning while the kids were getting ready for school and it made me think about some question’s that one of my students had asked me on goal setting.
Can you really achieve your money, health, relationship goals without any effort or do you have to struggle? Can move in a way that guarantees that your goals are achieved?
My reply was yes and no you can achieve some goals without much effort but other goals you need to put more effort in them to achieve those goals. It all depends on what those goals are, if there big goals or little goals, daily, weekly or even monthly goals. As long as you can keep your mind on track and stay focused on those goals and with correct the amount of effort those goals can be achieved,
Being able achieve those goals is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. The first time you try to fit the pieces together, it takes a while to get everything to fit smoothly. The second time you attempt to make the pieces fit, you are it get’s little easier to get the right pattern. Each time after that, it becomes more and more natural to easily match everything together.
Alot of The pieces of the puzzle to put together to get the goals you want come down to five basic things these are:
1. motivating yourself
3. Handling all different types of personalities that you don’t relate to
4. Be able to motivate people in your team if that’s with meetings, phone call, email
5. Training
All of these techniques combined together will help you get those goals you want and fit all the pieces together and at the same time help to build you in to a great leader.
In fact, if we move on to great leaders they have many characteristics, and when these characteristics are developed, you will become a great leader.
Let’s start off. The very first thing we find in great leaders is a total commitment to building a team that functions in unison to reach their goals. Great leaders realize they are a team. Their team is made up of individuals that have different goals, different beliefs, ideals, and ideals values, but they all have to function in unison to reach some of their goals.
If you really want to build a great team: promote stepping out. What do I mean by stepping out? I’m talking about your team going out of their comfort zone a. In essence, they must gradually ‘up? Their overhead as you teach them to ‘up? Their income. I used to be scared to go out of my comfort zone but now i see it as a part of my everyday life. As a good team leader, we help people increase their overhead with balance, so that as they grow income-wise, they also grow emotionally and enjoy their income. Promote going out of your comfort zone. Teach your team they have to take a little those steps out of their zone in order to grow.
Great leaders develop vision. Great leaders have to start seeing themselves in the future, the number of people they want in there team, Anything you can train anyone else to do which keeps you from doing three things: recruiting, managing, and training. we find if you live by what you teach. It’s not that important that your team just like you. It is important that they respect you first? You can’t say one thing and do another because you’ll lose respect. So gain the respect first. The other things will follow.
Great leaders must learn is to help people change their self-images by using their individual needs to be comfortable. people lack confidence because they are afraid and don’t know what is going to happen to them. A leader’s job is not only to instil confidence, but also to increase the way there team think and look at them self. Self-image is a reflection of who we think we are. Your goal is to develop your team and to get them to grow far beyond their dreams. It starts with how they look themselves
And don’t forget. Great leaders are specialized at recruiting, training, and retaining top people. That is a leader main specialty. Becoming a great trainer or teacher is necessary, because if you can’t duplicate yourself and the concepts you used, you won’t be able to complete the entire puzzle and in till you become a great leader if you don’t know something or can’t answer a question from your team ask your leaders.
So, how do you develop the characteristics of a great leader? Well, first of all, you must put the same amount of effort in to yourself than you do in your work so set work , personnel , family goals and financial goals because you are totally in the people business, aren’t you?
